The Foundation has as objective to collect fundings to make it possible to buy a spaceflight-ticket at the company Virgin Galactic (or a similar company). This ticket will enable a student, younger than thirty (30) years old, to undertake as a pioneer a commercial spaceflight and to promote the importance of commercial space exploration. Future Astronaut Adriaan Rijkens will become the first sponsored astronaut of the foundation. He will support the foundation in achieving the objective Profit The generated profit will only be used to support the objective of the foundation and to support a still to be determined NGO. The Board Sjoerd Zeijlemaker (Chairman) Sjoerd Zeijlemaker is working on a masters degree in Business at the University of Amsterdam. He believes that the idea of Adriaan Rijkens to send students into space was so great that he wilfully accepted the position of chairman of the givemeaspaceflight.com foundation Willem A. Smeenk (Treasurer) Willem has a master degree in finance and is active at Loyens & Loeff. This firm offers top-level legal and tax advice for international businesses, financial institutions and government bodies. Willem has accepted the role as treasurer and will be the only person to manage the givemeaspaceflight.com funding. Anthony Hoeks (secretary) Anthony is a fourth year business management and technology student. He is a co-founder of a student golf organization in the Netherlands, and was a board member of several other student committees in Amsterdam. His critical way of doing things combined with an entrepreneurial attitude make him an ideal secretary of the foundation.
